With its sweet almond and walnut flavour, our Village Trade blend is a darn good cup of coffee that everyone in the village can enjoy. Don’t let the roast level fool you, this medium dark coffee leans more towards medium. A blend of coffees from Nicaragua and Peru, it was created to be not overly acidic or too rich. We developed Village Trade in 1998 to help create awareness around the emerging fair trade movement. At that time, we were one of the first coffee roasters in North America to join the fledging TransFair organization. Today, we go beyond fair trade and enjoy long-standing and meaningful relationships with our co-ops. We choose to enter into long-term purchasing contracts with our co-op partners in an effort to provide income security as well as greater access to credit.
